The ICF-Central Florida Chapter is proud to announce Sally Helgesen as the Guest Speaker for the August 13, 2020 South East Regional Webinar Event

    Program Description:

o This program is designed to be highly interactive, with lots of opportunities

    for questions and engagement

o ICF CCEU’s will be provided to all ICF Global members, pending ICF approval

    How Women Rise

Women’s distinctive strengths and behaviors provide them with many

advantages. Yet the very habits that help them early in their careers can hold

them back as they seek to rise.

In this webinar, Sally will draw on her work with legendary executive coach

Marshall Goldsmith to help women and the coaches who support them identify and address the habits most likely to get in their way as they seek to move to a higher level.

This program is not just for women: By attending this program, men will gain a better understanding of what can hold women back and helps them be more informed and effective supporters of female clients and colleagues.

Using vivid real-life examples that resonate and inspire, Sally will help participants:

o Identify how specific habits may hinder women as they move to a higher

    level

o Initiate simple behavioral changes that can smooth a woman’s path going

    forward

o Develop accountability strategies for changes that can benefit individuals

    and their organizations

o Become a more powerful resource for women seeking to rise

      About the Speaker:

Sally Helgesen, cited in Forbes as the world’s premier expert on women’s leadership, is a bestselling author, international speaker and leadership coach. She has been ranked number 6 among the world’s top 30 leadership thinkers by Global Gurus, honored by the coaching consortium MEECO for her transformational influence on organizational cultures and chosen as the Thinkers 50/Marshall Goldsmith top coach for women leaders worldwide. Coaching In Organizations - What Every Coach Needs To Know

      August 28 (Tampa)

      * Please note that the walk-in fee is $40 for both members and guests.

Coaching In Organizations - What Every Coach Needs To Know

What is the magic formula for connecting with organizations? How can you expand your business to serve more corporate clients? If you do not have solid experience as an organizational leader, how can you convince organizations to hire you as a leadership coach? We will address these questions – and more!

Creating a successful, sustainable pipeline of corporate business requires a full understanding of organizational needs, practices, and culture. Culture, in particular, is a nebulous term, yet one that is critical for organizational coaches to fully comprehend.

      Key learning objectives:

Explore exactly what culture means and gain insight into how an organization’s culture impacts the success of business relationships and coaching engagements.

Learn what organizations look for when hiring an external coach, and examine the key success factors to ensure sustained, long-term success.

Understand the most important do’s and don’ts of successfully coaching inside an organization – including some factors that may surprise you!

      Our Speaker:

Lillian LeBlanc, MBA, PCC, Former HR executive and leader of internal coaching for Baptist Health South Florida (Miami), Immediate Past President, ICF Central Florida, Director and Secretary/Treasurer of the Board for ICF Coaching in Organizations.

Brené is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and most recently completed a seven-year study on courageous leadership. She is the author of five #1 New York Times bestsellers: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead, which also debuted at #1 on The Wall Street Journal and Publisher’s Weekly list.

      • Understand that it’s armor – not fear – that is the greatest obstacle to daring leadership.
      • Understand the four skill sets that make up courage: rumbling with vulnerability, living into our values, BRAVING trust, and learning to rise.
      • Understand that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are measurable, observable, and teachable.
      • Recognize that vulnerability is the birthplace of many of the behaviors that define daring leadership including creativity, accountability, and difficult conversations.
      • Recognize that daring leadership requires showing up for hard conversations and rumbles, including giving and receiving feedback.
      • Learn tools to be you, be all in and fall, rise and try again.
